What’s the best kind of lizard for a pet?

I am thinking about getting a pet lizard. I have a wife and a new born baby so I don’t want anythin aggressive. I have been thinking about an Iguana or a Bearded Dragon because I want something that we can have out of the cage and handle without it running off or biting. Any ideas?

    We’ve had two geckos and they are very very gentle. They are very easy to take care of. Just a thought.
