If you work for a corporate chain petstore, like Petsmart or Petco, you’ll probably have a higher salary and better benefits, but you will not make commission, and you’ll have a lot of corporate BS to deal with. If you go with a privately owned shop, you might have the option of working on commission, but as a manager, you might not.
