More then likely they will. However a pet shop is NOT the place you want to buy any kitten or puppy. They are supplied by puppy/kitten mills and backyard breeders. The animals are not socialized, tested and are bred from poor quality parents with lots of medical problems.

Go to a shelter or if you want a breed, breed rescue group where you will find a much better cat. Please don't waste your money in a pet shop buying a sick animal.

<a href=""></a>

they can ask for ID, yes.

Even if you do manage to buy a cat, your parents can make you get rid of it.. so go to the petshop with one of your parents.

They will ask for ID, but please rescue an animal instead.

Probably, but you shouldn't be buying cats or dogs from pet stores. Adopt from a rescue, save a life.

If you look like you are under 18, they will ask you for ID to ensure that you are old enough to purchase the cat. If your parents are allowing you to have a cat, than I strongly recommend that you have your parents go with you. However, if you do not have permission to get a cat and you figure that if you just happen to come home with one that you parents will let you keep it, than I would not try to purchase the cat.
