Do you have to tell people that you are pet shop when buying a dog to resell?

I own a pet shop and I am very new to this business. Do I have to tell someone I am buying a puppy from that I am going to resell it in my shop? Or, is it simply my pet, and I am choosing to sell it to someone else? Please help! I don’t want to do anything wrong!
