First thing to know about starting your own business is it’s a luxury to have employees! You should plan on doing a lot of the work yourself to keep costs down until you get on your feet.
How much it’ll cost has a lot to do with where you live and how big you want the shop to be. You should start to look around at available store fronts for lease to see how much your monthly rent will be. Then you will need electricity and heat, as well as a phone line.
To stock the store, again it will depend on how big you plan to be as far as how much it’ll cost. If you’re planning a super store like PetCo, you will obviously need a lot more to fill the store up.
