Can anyone recommend a GOOD pet insurance?

My dog has re-occuring Urinary Tract Infections.
The last time I was in the vet office, the vet told me she most likely would have to have surgery to correct the problem.
Seeing as how surgery is expensive, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any pet insurance ?

Pet insurance here in the USA isn’t true insurance – and it’s not regulated.

The best source will be your own vet – HOWEVER, you’ll have to read the small print. The way it works, on every policy I’ve seen, is that preexisting conditions are not covered; breed specific problems aren’t covered; and it doesn’t pay the vet for you – you pay the vet, submit the receipt, and THEN they’ll reimburse you.

Pet insurance companies in the US do not cover pre-existing conditions, so your pet’s recurring UTI will not be covered. If a medical condition exists or existed before you sign up, no future problems related to that condition will be covered.

If you still decide to get pet insurance for future problems, make sure you do your research and read the terms and conditions because not all pet insurance plans are created equal.
