that food is alright…the best bet food for cats and dogs is Natural Balance though. Its a little more expensive than the norm, but its WAY better. No cheap fillers, no added CRAP, its amazing. You should look into it.

I’ve never heard of that brand before. It might not be bad though, but I generally go for the brands that are more common.

There are so many pet foods out there. I’ve never heard of that one, but that doesn’t say it’s a good or bad one. It is a scary time for our pets and what food to buy them. I have both my cats and dogs on California Natural, they have both a dog food and cat food. I know that’s a good dry food. Just check the ingredients and also check the recall list.

The appalling truths about the pet food industry were published in the book – “FOOD PETS DIE FOR” written by Ann Martin. It was only a matter of time before a horror like this occurred. My cat was safe because I discovered this book at the library. Every cat caretaker should read it! It is small and easy to read in a weekend. I read this book 3 1/2 years ago when my cat was reacting to the “good” brands sold at Petsmart. The vet said he was fine but after he ate, he would sleep for hours like he was drugged, barely breathing. I started reading all kinds of books about cats and their care and came across this book.

Best single book for cat caretakers (as in, if you can only afford one book, get this one): THE NEW NATURAL CAT written by Anitra Frazier. This book addresses making homemade cat food and lists all cat health problems and how to treat them, including holistic remedies. It is out of print but still the best book out there. I found a copy at Half Price books and bought another for 50 cents at the library book sale to give to my neighbors after they borrowed mine!
