Most of the pets (dogs) on petfinder don’t have the adoption fees listed when you look at the pet’s details. Okay, so they’re loving a need a home, that’s great, but whats their adoption fee?
Petfinder is kind of like Craigslist or Pennysaver, but for dogs.
That being said, the adoption fees differ for every dog. There isn’t a flat fee for all the dogs on petfinder, but there is a flat fee for the individual shelters/rescues/owners listing on petfinder.
It really depends on the shelter or rescue.
The price range is normally $50-$500
Puppies/Young Adult Dogs are sometimes more expensive.
Adults/Senior dogs usually cost less.
you will have to contact the shelter or rescue that has the dog to inquire about their adoption fee.. some of the shelters/rescues have the fee listed on the shelter website, instead of on the dog’s profile.
Depends on the rescue organization that is fostering the dog, or the shelter prices. Usually you can click on their information and find the fees.

It depends on the shelter and often the age of the dog.
Senior dogs are often cheaper than younger dogs.
For example, I know a cute yorkie mix senior named Bea who’s adoption fee is only $50. She’s on Petfinder right now. But that’s really on the low end.
Usually, the range around me is $200-$300. But I have seen as high as $400, too.
