How do I know if my kitten is having fun playing with my other cat?

Our older cat always seems to attack the kitten but the kitten doesn’t like run and hide and he seems to instigate it sometimes. The thing is, he always screaches when the bigger cat has him and wags his tail once he gets away. Is this just fun or is the kitten afraid?

Lizz, i understand your concern bout homeless cats, that’s why im also gonna get one from the shelter. Here in my country, there’s only one known shelter, and they don’t do much euthanasia unless the cat is super sick or super hopeless case, but not the reason of no chance of having a home because they’re populating. while some cats in the streets are sometimes found by people who love them to be their pet.

The kitten eyes were complete black. Unlike the other kittens that showed blue pupils in their eyes, one kitten showed no color but just black eyes. Also when he was outsides for a while, he would squint his eyes.
