You would have to take this on a pet shop by pet shop basis. Some may order a guinea pig of your choice, while others don’t want to be bothered. You’d have to call each of the pet shops and ask them.
Have you tried a Ginue Pig rescue site? I just went on petfinder.com and found one adult peruvian guinea pig in California… Give them a try. Or try googling “gunea pig rescue”. Good luck!
chances are, they wont. Guinea Pigs are breed in mass. Most shops can’t even tell you what exact breed your piggy is. Within all the mass breeding….species get mixed up.
Please do not buy animals from pet shops. They come from horrible conditions, where they’re bred only for someone to make a quick buck. They often breed related animals/animals with known health problems, and sick animals. Look up “Puppy Mills”.. same thing goes for the Guinea Pigs, hamsters, rats chinchillas,whatever..you get, at most stores. Horrible practice, and not something to support. And, you open yourself of a lot of heartache getting an animal from a pet store that can have a wide variety of problems. Also, Cavies are social and should be kept in same *** pairs or groups. Check out , there are hundreds of Guinea Pigs in rescues there that need homes and many Peruvians. Or, find an ethical breeder. is a good start. Peruvians are awesome, I used to breed them among a few others..and love them. Have on Peruvian boar now and 2 Teddies.
I’m a father, godfather, brother, cousin, uncle, friend, neighbor, teammate, and co-worker. I am endeavoring to bring together a large body of helpful information on the subject of pets. I’m not shy, so you are invited to tell me what you think. Feel free to share and to disagree with me, but please keep it civil.

It would be easier to go online and find a place that does because I don’t think they do that.
