What is the fancy dwarf and dwarf hamster in the pet shops?

I’ve seen all of these dwarf hamsters and fancy hamsters in pet shops, but what exactly are these? I’ve never heard of an actual name like dwarf fancy hamster. Is this just another name for a type of hamster?

This really just means it is a small hamster breed they tend to be a little more active and sometimes more friendly.

A fancy dwarf is simply the name the pet store gives it to charge you more money. A dwarf is a dwarf regardless of breeding. In Syrian hamsters a Fancy would be long hair however this too is just a way to charge you more money. So just take the standard Dwarf since you will have as much fun with it as a fancy and it will cost you less money. Some pet stores will price based on color, white is more expensive so it black. Where the normal brownish color will be the cheapest. So they call Black or White hammies Fancy to raise the price. That’s all it is.
Dwarf hamsters are just a smaller breed of hamster. They are faster than syrians and more aggresive. They are also very fast breeders so be sure to only get the same *** and have that fact checked by the vet. Most pet stores get that wrong.
