I can&#039;t give you an answer but I would recommend AKC&#039;s insurance as an alternative.</description>

I use VPI Insurance, you aren&#039;t restricted as to where you can take your pet.  You can use your current vet.  Their website is they list what they offer and you can pick what you think is best for you and they will give you a quote right on the website.  All you do is have your vet fill out the claim form and submit it to VPI along with the bill for reimbursement.</description>

I was under the impression that you had to use Banfield&#039;s Pet Insurance (Banfield is the chain of clinics located inside PetsMart) at Banfield locations -- so if you don&#039;t have a PetsMart (or Banfield) in your area, I don&#039;t think their insurance would do you much good!</description>
