I was under the impression that you had to use Banfield’s Pet Insurance (Banfield is the chain of clinics located inside PetsMart) at Banfield locations — so if you don’t have a PetsMart (or Banfield) in your area, I don’t think their insurance would do you much good!
I use VPI Insurance, you aren’t restricted as to where you can take your pet. You can use your current vet. Their website is they list what they offer and you can pick what you think is best for you and they will give you a quote right on the website. All you do is have your vet fill out the claim form and submit it to VPI along with the bill for reimbursement.
I’m a father, godfather, brother, cousin, uncle, friend, neighbor, teammate, and co-worker. I am endeavoring to bring together a large body of helpful information on the subject of pets. I’m not shy, so you are invited to tell me what you think. Feel free to share and to disagree with me, but please keep it civil.
No, because their “insurance” only applies to the clinics (Banfield) inside the PetsMart stores.

I can’t give you an answer but I would recommend AKC’s insurance as an alternative.
