Cherilyn d asked:
What is the absolute best pet odor (pee) remover for carpet? I have one carpet that has tons of old puppy *** stains and it reeks! I have to get it clean for a roommate by tomorrow!! Yikes. What do I do? It doesn’t need to be natural or organic or any of that stuff. It can be nuclear waste for all I care, I just need the smell to be gone!

Here’s a great tip from an article at the Scott Common Sense Community to clean the area. I would also recommend using vinegar mixed with water for the smell. As it dries, the vinegar smell will go away, along with the pet accident smell!
Soak up as much as you can with a combination paper towels and newspaper. The more you can remove before it dries, the easier it will be to remove the odor. Then, place a thick layer of paper towels on the wet spot and cover with a thick layer of newspaper. If possible, put newspaper under the soiled area as well. Stand on this padding for about a minute. Remove the padding and repeat the process until the area is barely damp. Spray the area with an enzymatic cleaner to combat the odor. Wait about five minutes and then rinse thoroughly with clean, cool water. After rinsing, blot up as much moisture as possible with a paper towel. As an extra measure to remove lingering odors, sprinkle baking soda on the spot after it dries. Let it sit overnight, then vacuum.
