I have 2 male cats that are very hyper. I want to get a small pet like a bird or a fish but the cats could attack it like they have done countless times before.

Ok well cats are naturally prone to attacking birds, I dont know why you would even think of getting one when you know you have 2 very hyper cats. Fish could be ok as long as you have a tank with a lid top. I have 2 cats and fish and though they would love to get to the fish, it’s large enough they can’t move it and it has a lid. Otherwise look into something else like reptiles that can be in a tank with a lid (turtle, snake, lizards, frogs, ect)
If You Would Like A Fish, This Should Be Fine But I Would Recommend Putting A Hair Net Or Something Over The Top Of The Tank As One Of My Fish Jumped Out Of Its Bowl Once And Using A Hairnet Means That It Wont Leave The Bowl Dark But Will Help Prevent The Cats Getting To It..Make Sure You Keep The Bowl On A High Surface That The Cats Cant Get To!
I’m a father, godfather, brother, cousin, uncle, friend, neighbor, teammate, and co-worker. I am endeavoring to bring together a large body of helpful information on the subject of pets. I’m not shy, so you are invited to tell me what you think. Feel free to share and to disagree with me, but please keep it civil.
